Not exactly how I wanted to spend my day.

Got up this morning with plans on working on the dart and maybe doing some more on the ram project well I had to move the mountaineer ( my everyday driver atm) to get the dart around back. Get in the mountaineer nothing just cranks won't start. Ugh! So I start diagnostics on it. I learned today that in 2004 they stopped putting fuel pressure valves on the fuel rail its all electric so no way of testing the pressure. Im not getting any codes. So I spray some starter fluid in the TB and it fires right off. So im getting spark its gotta be fuel related. I check the fuse and replace the relay still nothing. So its gotta be the pump right!? This tank is tight and there is no room to work at all so the only option is to drop the tank. Right? Wrong! Screw that i don't have a lift and im not working under this heavy bastard on jackstands so I find the pump and cut out the carpet and cut the spot welds and remove the floor pan. And the pump is right there easy to remove. I pull the pump put in a temporary electric pump and it fired right up. So the pump is bad im assuming unless there is something in the system electrical not communicating to the pump. But it seems if that was the case I'd be getting a code. Idk seems like I'd have a code if the fuel pump wasn't working either. I'll go buy one tomorrow and try it out. I'll keep yall posted
