Bid is up to 109k and I got to tell you its in the middle of nowhere. Tourism is the biggest industry up there. Granted if you would have big purse races to draw out for blood competitors, likely sooner or later you could generate a fan base, but would take a while and cost a boatload of cabbage.

Its a good 2.5-3 hour drive north from Milwaukee.

Nowhere is it guaranteed to continue being a race track. Tourism requires hotels, golf courses etc.

There are race tracks alot closer like slinger to get your racing in. Just look at the lack of racing done on the Milwaukee mile and that is a historic and storied track.

There is plenty of places to stay up there. Deep pockets and 25+ acres you can build a hotel.

IIRC they have tried to run.unsanctioned the past few years and that may have hurt them.

The track also had had a few management and owner changes which does not help.

Plenty of racyers up there... Eagle River runs weekly as well as Tomahawk and SK Speedway. Get the Wissota sanction back and it

will be sucessful...but the sanction has a rule that speedways must be 60 miles apart so as to not dilute the racer and fan base.
That bas been an issue in the past.
