Not exactly how I wanted to spend my day.
Working on latter model vehicles is an acquired taste. The way newer vehicles are designed it is very simple to work on them.
The caveat is that you can't work on them in the same fashion as old cars.
I have been taking in a lot of customer work and it's all newer stuff like a tune up on a duratech that requires you pull the upper intake to reach the rear spark plugs. And yes, you are correct, no Schrader valves after 03....:elmer:
I assume your mountaineer is rusty so an added access door isn't a big deal but if you had a totally rust free vehicle then it would be different.
