Neil Peart- in case anyone wondered how much of a bad man he was.....

The all around best drummer that ever lived.

Also a big car guy.

His death marked the beginning of the worst year in a very long time.

Two of the greatest rock musicians ever died in 2020. Neil Peart and Eddie Van Halen

Neil was certainly super. A great technical drummer with imagination.

John B was taught, practiced and played an older style of drumming. He pushed and prodded and twisted up some old and new drum riffs to help create a unique style that was a bit different than others during his time.

Fellas like him, Keith Moon comes to mind, helped create that THUNDERING sound and back bone during songs and solos. This sound IMO, crested with outrageous showmanship as acts like Motley Crews Tom drums set soared overhead twirling around while melodic thunder is heard.

Ive seen a lot of shows and appreciated them all.

i seen them with kiss in 76ish,then again in 78ish but cant remember who was the other bands

Peter Chris was no lay down guy back then. Some of the KISS music is quite complicated on Percussion. What a lucky guy you were to see them both in a single night...

Rush definitely has a cult following, but the singer's voice just rattles my ear drums. I was never a fan of their music. They're obviously great musicians though.
