Trying to remove the panel under(behind) the rear bumper. The top bolt goes in from the inside(i can see the back side from the outside). How do you get to the head of the bolt? It appears to be in the opening between the trunk floor and outer quarter panel. The body and chassis service manuals do not address it.

On 67 dart the panel behind the bumper is not removable, are you sure it is removable?

You talking about the quarter panel extensions? Or the bumper brackets. The "panel" is weld in

The rear valance panel is not bolted on. It is spot welded on.

please take a picture of what you are trying to remove before you drive us all crazy. I am sure that the panel that is actually "behind the bumper" is welded in place since it is what your bumper brackets are bolted to!

FOUND THEM. The factory seam filler was covering the bolts. This is the panel below the quarter panel ext,and behind the bumper. Thanks for the help.

at least take a picture of the thing so folks can see what it is now.

No, it's removable bolted on 100%, not a good place for bolts, it turns into rust welded on
Oh ok cool then. I wish mine was bolted on. It may damn well be when I get done repairing it. lol

Just for your own information. You don't need to be a gold member to load pictures to your post.
