What did you get? Why? What do you do with it? What attachments do you have?

I bought a Kubota BX23S backhoe in 2018, because I always wanted a backhoe. This backhoe is small enough to easily trailer on my utility/car trailer. I knew that I would use it to take care of my 2.6 acres and 600 foot driveway. I just bought a front snow thrower this summer and I look forward to using it this winter. The last two winters were light, but I used the front end loader to clear the driveway (it left marks on the asphalt). I bought a grapple this past spring and it is great for picking up branches from downed trees and throwing them into the woods. I won’t get a belly mower deck for it because the tractor is slower than the 54” Husqvarna mower I already have. My neighbor has a box grader and a grader blade, that can be connected via the rear 3 point hitch. I bought a Piranha tooth strip for the front edge of the bucket lip, and it cuts into the ground and turf like butter. I also bought a root rake type thing for the same edge of the bucket and it clears light wild weed growth from land I reclaim from the woods.

So far, I’ve dug water and sewer line trenches, dug up the yard for a garden, carry firewood around, clear the driveway in winter, dug out tree stumps, and the like. It’s little 23 Hp diesel purrs along like a champ. I like watching tractor videos on youtube, to see what other people are doing with theirs.

Chains and a blade for the winter. FYI, The chains will leave marks on your asphalt.

It pushed snow fine last year without chains. It should do better with the snow thrower, as snow won’t be building up in front of the bucket to slow me down.

Very nice. I have a BX23S I bought a couple years ago. Wonderful tractor. I have a 4 foot bush hog mower and a Woodmax chipper for it.
I also have a larger M7060 with a hydraulic box blade, hydraulic auger, hydraulic rear blade, an EA grapple, a set of pallet forks and a 4in1 bucket.

And a couple old tractors. This old Cletrac is my favorite.

Massey Ferguson 1735m. Has a loader, hay bale forks, rear blade, post hole digger. I use it to clear my drive in the winter and work around the farm in the summer. 35 horse turbo diesel, with A/C and heat first one with a cab.

I have an old POS Massey-Ferguson 65 diesel with a front end loader and the detachable backhoe. Machine was built in 1964, bought it in 1982. Planning on using the backhoe to remove some stumps before the white stuff hits.

My neighbor has one, and uses it for all kinds of things. Uses it for his garden that's quite large. Just got the snow thrower last year and loves it. Talking about selling the one he has and getting a new one so he won't have to deal with any issues down the road. He bought the original for cost when he worked at a dealership.

His brother in law across the street has one also, and has used it plenty since he got it.

I bought a Yanmar rubber track hoe with a number thre rod hanging out of the block. Still ran but leaked a lot of oil. I bought a used 3 cylinder Yanmar diesel out of Kentucky. And it became a project for my grandson, bucket head and I. But it has turned out to be a great tool for me. Loading and unloading rear ends ,engines , cars , etc.

1949 Ford 8N. Got it when we moved out in the country. Have a 5' box blade for keepin the driveway scraped, a drawbar and a hitch bar. It's been worth its weight in gold. I've used it for everything from pushin and pullin cars around, pullin trees, clearing out ground growth, fillin in holes.....you name it. I want a bushhog but they are outta my price range right this minute.

That looks like a good time right there!

I bought my Yanmar track hoe for 600.00. Spent 1200.00 on a used 3 cyl 32 horse Yanmar diesel. What it has saved me ? Priceless
