Master Cylinder Diference

I was hoping someone can help me out with a question regarding master cylinders. I tried searching but didn’t find an answer,
On my 75 Plymouth (power disk/drums) the large reservoir is in the front, on the replacement, it’s on the back, however, the fittings are on the same spot, are the internals different? Can I use the new one or do I need to make new lines to connect it to the proportioning valve?
