Sure he did... everyone owns one. They say Honda on them and sport a large wing with tow hooks right?

But sometimes they did or do own cool cars. Case in point. My new friends mom mentioned her brother owned a race car and that they enjoyed racing. We had a nice conversation and parted ways.

A few days later my new friend sent me this pic. This is his uncles car.

I was like, WOW! No joke he did own a race car and it looks legit.

What are the odds of this?

Thats awesome ! I had a customer tell me he used to own a Hemi Cuda ... I thought yeah whatever... asked what year? He says a 68... bullshitter.... I asked what color ? He says White. Except the fenders and hood cuz they were fiberglass .
It was Jerry McDowell ! Original owner of the Gentle Ben SS Barracuda !

And at Irwindale! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

The original IRWINDALE RACEWAY!!!
That's an in-n-out burger stand in the background, just no name on the building, and no tomatoes on the burgers. I spent lots of Wednesday nights there, till Miller brewing bought the place. My friends and I refused to drink Miller beer for a lot of years.
Awesome awb Dart too!

I was at The Last Blast. Funny, we called the burgers there "blacktop burgers" but went down the road a few blocks to this funny little place called In n Out to get a burger on the way home :rofl:

Harry Snyder founded in-n-out, and i think was part owner of irwindale. He occasionally worked the hamburger stand there, his son (cant remember his name) raced there, and in-n-out sponsored red and white racecars, all the way up to top fuel.

Of course, i didnt know all that at the time!

I won’t drink Miller to this day. Of course once Bud sold out to the Europeans I have not drank Bud either. Mercia is fer Mercia beers!

only one I could find of Dale Pulde's FC and it blown up :BangHead:
99% of the t-shirts In n Out sell are hot rod themed.
Definite connection there.

I sold a 63ish SS AL water pump housing to "some guy" in Irvine, he asked if I could deliver it as I was only 3 miles from his shop and he needed it tonight. Got the directions and in his shop was this

Either He was Arnie Klann (owner of this '75) or his mechanic! He said it was getting sent to Florida for restoration. I had a crappy flip phone at the time so I didnt get any good pics.
