Ran into a model 1971 Duster cheap, want to paint it the same color as my 70. I can do the body, but no idea about the stripes and rear panel. It was suggested I go to a hobby shop and see if someone can hand paint them. Any other ideas? I’m assuming no one makes these, or they can be removed and reapplied

Paint the real car to match the model?

Maybe buy a roll of auto pin striping tape, lay it out on a piece of glass, trim with exacto knife, and transfer to model. Not as thin as a decal but will give the look you want.

My fine hand skills suck, I can’t draw a good stick figure. But I can bring up the trim tape idea at the hobby store, someone else may be able to cut it out

FYI you can get a resin 70-72 non-shark tooth grill on ebay.

I'd check ebay for the decals as well.

There are some mom&pop type operations that make small batch "conversion" and replacement stuff.

...and also look for Demon stripes, as they are very similar.

You can make some using decal paper and an inkjet printer.

Search YouTube for details. Decal paper is available at any well stocked hobby shop.

Here's one video

I built that kit. I work at hobby lobby and we used to sell it but we don’t anymore. The decals are part of that AMT ‘71 Duster kit. You can’t just buy them separately unless a third party has them online. Check Ray’s Kits. They had a full set of Dart Sport Hang 10 decals when the MPC 75 Dart Sport only had the exterior ones, Rays Kits had the exterior and decals for the dash and seats and door panels to make an authentic hang 10.
