here we go again. Measured R/F brake drum for 1968 Dodge Dart 270. F/R is 9.056 x 9.053 in. Too close for .060 limit. Looking for low mileage hub and drum for 9 in brakes. May be interested in back also. a x b numbers mean my greatest measurement across the drum (9 in circle) followed by 90 degree rotation and measurement again. I am just a novice so hope this method is correct. I am using digital brake caliper from Central Tool.

New NOS drum can be purchased but ugly outcome. Existing hub is swagged into drum and studs. Special tool or machine shop operation is required to remove hub. Costly I am told plus balance also. Not sure any of these "new" machine guys understand what to do. My local machine shop is clueless but will get back to me.

Anybody have old drums and low mileage?? Any machine shops doing this conversion?

Thx...MOPAR forever... stay healthy.

My experience getting these 9" front drums to function correctly with crap modern Chinesium parts was an exercise in frustration. 3 different drums and 3 different shoes before it worked without overheating on the road. After all that I decided the wife could not exert enough pressure to stop in a panic stop (I barely could) and put on disks. I have the entire assemblies knuckle, upper controls arm and all (needed 10" knuckles for the SSBC disk kit) you can have but shipping would be pricey these days from Az. These are completely restored, bead blasted and painted with everything new, ball joints and all. Maybe have 200 miles on them.

I have a good pair including low mileage shoes with backing plates and all, but I'm not splitting them up.

ok...are these OEM (used of coarse w/200 miles on them) ?? Hate to ask so many questions but I need to know what I am buying. Again I am looking for drum/hub 9 in w/ low mileage. Drums may have seals and bearings installed. Since no split-up I would buy L and R with fair price. UPS has good rates I am told and s/h will kill me. Maybe a pic or two when convenient. Thx...

Do you think you're going to find original parts with 200 miles on them? Hate to ask so many questions, but I need to know I'm not dealing with someone with a complete misunderstanding of what used auto parts are. I have everything. Drums, hubs spindles, bearings, dust caps, very new shoes, the hardware kits even look new. I haven't measured the drums. They're used 9" original drums still swedged to the hubs. I've removed the spindles, because a member here wanted them for a Wilwood setup, and of course, true to form with some, I've never heard back, but I have everything.

Rusty....all I need is the drums and hub. I learned that the hubs are integral to the hubs....my bad. I have new brake cylinders from NAPA and other stuff is new i would be interested in the brake shoes also. So.....what price are we talking about for L/F and R/F. UPS is best shipper I feel.

That's cool. But I'm not separating to sell it all. Let me put my hands on everything and make dang sire I have it all still and I'll let you know. Kitty has a stress test tomorrow, so we'll be at the doc's office most of the day, so it'll be later tomorrow afternoon.
