Getting ready to put the wiring and dash back in the car. Wondering the best way to reinstall both. The wiring was not well installed when I took the dash out, so I don’t trust the routing. Anyone got pictures?

I see people assembling the dash before installation. Does that include the wiring? Seems it could but again no idea.

Yeh. Would be awful helpful if we knew what you are working on

Go over to MyMopar and download a factory service manual, and look through the section 8. Some years have diagrams of the wiring layout in that section

yeah would be best to bolt the whole thing in with the wiring as a unit IMO. Maybe you dput the radio ,instrument cluster in after the dash is bolted in, you beed access to the dash pad bolts but the pad could be bolted on prior also. less chance of effing it up though if it isnt bolted on first.

I think this is how I would prefer to do it too. Just need to figure out the routing for the harness.

You should be able to follow the loom's retainers. From the bulkhead the loom follows retainers on the right side of the pedal support and then splits in two, going left to the fuse block and right to dash connector and radio following those retainers.

Okay, I will look for those. I think maybe some of my loom retainers are missing though, as I didnt see too many of them

Sorry, I hit the delete post button by mistake!

If you have the dash out, it is way easier to run the harness by mounting the dash to the bolts on each side of the cowl and then tilt the dash assembly forward. you will then have easier access to the wiring harness, connectors, heater control cables and hoses , and speedo cable plus its easier to run the harness through the factory looms . I'm assuming steering column is out as well. Most everything else, including the steering column wiring and the e-brake switch wiring is easily accessible underneath.

I know. I forget that a lot. That's why I put it in my signature :)

I have the service manual. I will take another look.
LOL I did not see the sig. I don't think those graphics are in "every year" You might have to look at a year or two older/ newer

There is some of that in the 70 Dart/ Challenger manual

This is step by step assembly (caution ; extra wires for non-factory stuff). Diagram to come

I just put all this in in one piece, even the aftermarket gauges. It was designed to go in that way at the factory!
