What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Beginning to fix an oil leak between the Timing cover and oil pan. Never again will I not pull the oil pan when replacing the timing chain cover.
Out with the old and in with the new. I am also going with a new windage tray with a rubber gasket for the oil pan. In case I need to pull the pan, it will be much easier. All in all it took about 2.5 hours to drain the oil, the coolant and most of the transmission (I have a cooler that was in the way), remove the oil pan bolts, the fan shroud, fan, fan pulley, the water pump, hoses, alternator, harmonic balancer (dampener) and the timing chain cover. All that is left for disassembly is the oil pan and cleaning the gaskets surfaces. No way I would want to do this without a lift.
