I got them from stinger fiberglass. I didn't make any brackets for them, I got the bracket set from Lingenfelter Brackets. The bumpers are the exact replica of the stock ones so definitely not huge monsters. Lol. About 160lbs lighter when you factor in the bracket swap. But the bracket swap isn't necessary either. I did it to maximize weight savings.

Yeah I remembered you doing them and after wrestling my 47 year old rusted crap off I was like oh yeah I know who did this!
 
Very cool shots. Love the matchin shorts. lol Just askin....forgive me for not reading the book, but what kinda power you think this thing has? What's the best run netted you so far?

It does alright for a fat girl. Lol. A few small changes this winter and rhen she will be in her final rendition and I won't be messing with her too much more. Just race it and have fun. Only replacing what breaks. At 9.9 compression right now she make 800 tire at 20 psi. I've run her up to 34psi at the track before. Just depends on what the track holds.

Finally got these in the mail. New rear diff cover and the correct hardware to fix the broken stuff from when i originally got the car and they were broken.

Alot of people put them on the other way around I'm guessing to simulate a flag blowing in the wind. But I like this orientation better. As with everything else on this car, it would definitely be more about my preference than anyone else's. Nice catch on the typical orientation though.

On a side note the upgrades for winter are going slow thanks to pickin up a new gun and a set of wheels and tires for my truck. Time to hold off buying stuff for a little but and enjoy the holidays until my wife deploys.

The reason I thought the flag was backwards was the orientation, when on display, the blue field with the stripes should be in the left upper corner

I can think of at least two houses in my town where the flag is on display with the blue field in the upper right corner, and that's what this looked like to me

But you're right, it's your car, and it sure beats seeing a chinese flag on there


Now, on to important issues...let's hear about the gun ?

Will do luckily I don't have to deploy anymore. I just get to be on this side of it now that she is deploying. I'll pass my regards onto the Mrs's.

The new gun I purchased was a diamondback db10 chambered in 308. That and the wheels and tires are where a chunk of my winter upgrade money went.

Got the wheels and tires on the truck today. Absolutely love em. The fact they were $600 makes it even better. Time to recpup and recover and get some money put away to have these new to me 799 heads sent off and swap them out for my current 317s. That'll up the compression ratio on the car quite a bit.

Then yesterday the weather finally cleared here in WA state and my daughter took advantage of my "when the weather is clear we can take the dart to school instead of the bus" offer.

Last event of the year today. The NW toy run at Pacific Raceways. A kind of toys for tots. Was deifnfitkey the onky classic car and the only "race car" as they called it.

Now she's back in the garage waiting for winter upgrades.

I haven't died and passed away.

I hope everyone had a very blessed Merry Christmas.

I had family in town and got to take my brother 8n law for a ride to get some Mexican good one night in town. He has never ridden in the csr and was enthusiasticly surprised. Then some guy did a burnout in front of my house....I can't believe it.

But the Dart is big put away for winter and I'm in the process ofaelling my stock 317 heads and 660 lift springs for a set of trick flow 220 fast as cast head with some btr .685 lift springs, shaft rocker setup, and new btr stage 3 twin turbo cam

Thats gonna up compression quite a bit before next season and should drastically increase my power at lower boost level. Great addition in the compression category should help with spool as well.

Looking forward to next season big time.
