New bloke in Australia with '69 convertible Dart

G'day FABO peeps. Introducing myself & my LP27 as per forum protocol. I recently purchased this /6 225 ripper. It was imported into Australia in 2017 and I have no further history unfortunately at this stage. I figure the car spent most of its life in a dry part of the US (or it was rarely driven) given the minimal rust. I believe it's factory paint (Y2) and the top has rotted out as you'd expect. I have upwards of 95% of the project as a few parts have been robbed at some point. Plan is to initially locate missing parts as best I can. Front buckets will be the toughest to locate I expect. Body panels are good but rust in low areas around rockers, wheel housing and trunk extensions etc as expected. Everything else is straight besides the dents. Block turns over but haven't fired yet given no starter, battery, leads etc (early days). Plan is a son and Dad project as Dad never got around to sorting out a build so this will be for him as much as for me. I'm in for the journey and pumped to learn new things and skills. Planning as close to a stock build (225 console auto, Y2 outside, X1 inside) as possible to cruise around our sunshine state (Queensland, not Florida) for years to come. Photos are average for now as car is tucked up under the house atm. I am looking forward to engaging with this community and hopefully with your help I will be able to bring this a-body back to life. Chris.
