RIP Amanda

-
That crap was a huge factor in my divorce. I can't imagine the pain of losing your child to it.

I've read of your loss before, and offer my sympathies. Addiction is a horrible thing. I had a friend destroy his life for ****** - he lost everything. Last I knew he was still alive, but was a raging mess and had alienated everyone in his circle. If we can bring some focus on this problem even at the cost of pain for those who have had to suffer through this with loved ones, maybe a user will see the light. It doesn't have to be this way...:(

This has grown to touch almost everybody, a sad day, keep sharing..peace to You & Yours...

I remember her pretty smile and when you were first talking about her, so hard for everyone, sorry for your loss

So sad. I see this tragedy every day in the inner city. I told myself 10 years ago if this ever crept into any of my kids life, I would quit work and take him on a 6 month hike on the John Muir trail. Anything to get him away from his supplier or lifestyle.

I remember her passing, what a sweet smile and creative person to I bet, again my friend, so sorry for your loss, and please except my condolences again this evening.

I can imagine how difficult it is to post this every year. But a LOT of people will see this, most won't comment, and your courage may help someone take the necessary steps to prevent another family from the experience.

God bless you.

You made an important point. Getting them away from their Suppplier and the "Friends" who enable them. It was hard with Amanda because she was 27 when she passed. I like your idea of the long hike or whatever. We tried many treatment centers which most just cared about your Money. We will never miss the chance to speak out.

That is something that most people don't realize. Almost all the "treatment" centers are in it for profit.

Everything in the drug trade is about the money.... and it's not just the guys on the street dealing drugs.
