Grass has barely slowed down and here come the leaves. :BangHead: Gonna get some quotes on getting a tree removed soon. Big Silver Maple that dumps leaves on my shed and the pup’s poop zone…

The pecan is very not my thing typically either, but man is it good!

$40 per 4 pack at local grocery liquor department - if you can find it. I heard it was a short run and never again.
 
Removed a big chunk of side surface root yesterday. About 3/4 of the way around now. Gonna get at it again in a bit.

TMM turned a bunch of us on to some pecan whiskey a while back. It was very tasty, but way too sweet for me to drink much. Kind like drinking Skrewball

That Pecan beer is very rich and heavy. I know I couldn't have more than 1 in a sitting. And the Utopia WWS is too expensive to do so

Oak tree that loads my shop full of leaves every fall,and acorns steady banging on the roof. That one has to go.

I would take it down myself, but its up on a mound and a double trunk. A bit beyond my tree cutting skill level. Also have another Maple that's actually the neighbors with a huge side 'branch' I might have them take off. Between the two of them I will reduce my leaf cleanup by about half.
 
A gardener friend taught me how to get rid of small tree stumps up to about a foot wide. Take a 1" auger and drill motor and drill a half dozen holes into the stump in a vertical fashion as deep as the auger will go. Fill the holes with Pool/Muriatic Acid for a couple of weeks. When the time comes put a choker around the stump hook it to the back of the pickup/tractor and yank it out.

Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream and root beer. It is delicious even with cheap root beer.
