Have any of you bought any of the factory refurbished carburetors from Holley? I bought a 750 DP Brawler a couple days ago because it was about 50% off the brand new unit. I'm really curious what it'll look like when it gets here. For those that have bought them, what did you think?

I bought a 600cfm 1850 and it worked fine on my F-150 until I swapped t a 460 that needed a 750. Its now on my dads friends 383 in a 67 C10 and still going strong.

Refurbish carbs are ones returned with little use. All carbs leaving the factory are not wet flowed, only 1 in 10 are or something like that. All refurbished carbs are wet flowed before they leave, they dont want them back. Its the only new carb I would buy.

Purchased their 1150 Dominator for my 512ci stroker & looks great. Can't tell it from new except for "FR" stamped on top flange. Very happy.

Yep I've bought 3 of them. Just recently purchased a 850 brawler that arrived yesterday. The only signs of use is where the throttle cable was mounted and marks on the throttle plate when it was mounted. I bought a 950 quick fuel last month that was supposedly refurbished and it looks completely new. Also a holley 650 hp that looked like it was never used.

Thanks guys! I couldn't believe how inexpensive they are. I'll be curious what kind of shape mine is when it shows up next week.

avengers 670 cfm elec choke, and a 750 dp , pic of the 670 avengers. Very satisfied.

I purchased a reman 670 Avenger and had issues getting it to idle properly. Contacted them and sent it back. Returned in good shape. Thinking I may need a 750 now and I will most likely purchase another from them.

How many carbs are bought, installed, never adjusted, and sent back because it doesn't work right. Probably most of them. They are brand new just never adjusted properly. Those are the carbs you may get with a remanufactured carb.

As you well know, If you read most reviews of any carbs from Summit or wherever pretty much all mention they took it ootb and bolted it on and it worked great, some occasionally mentioning all they had to do was fine tune the mixture screws and idle speed. Very rarely you might see a review where someone mentions having to change jets etc. The negatives usually relate to being pig rich or not getting it to idle right etc.
Most want a bolt-on carb ootb. Doesn’t exist, Might luck out and find one close to what the engine needs but rare. And for certain even the ones who slap it on and report positive results, there’s no way it’s optimized, especially the Power Valve.

Bought my Quick fuel 750 dp street q-series 2 years ago and its flawless refurbished and saved $250

Thanks guys! It showed up today and I'm very happy with it. I'm glad I pulled the trigger. It looks like a new carb, but for half the price. We'll see how well it runs this weekend.

Apparently all Holley carburetors are wet-flowed??

Glad you posted that. Someone said they test every *** carb.
