Has to do with the ring gear thickness and the carrier spacing range that changes with ratios. Street up to 4.56? Pro/Race 4.88 and up? Trying to remember the cut-off point, I could be a number sequence off.
 
I posted this before but a mod must have deleted it. You can use a 4.56 or lower street gear on this spool, or any pro gear.
