Wished I had a bigger carb for DT. I think I'll start "one-eye" shopp'n for the right deal. You know, like what the birdy said when he flew over King Soopers.... Cheap Cheap !

Have you heard from " Jabs" lately? Haven't seen many posts from him... last I remember, he wasn't feeling all that great. @Jadaharabi
.
Hey Dave, I'm feeling better but still having drainage into throat. Doctors don't seem to care after all it's not them that's choking. LOL but I do feel much better than I did earlier this year. Thank you for asking.

Have been working on my little sister's 70 Dodge truck on the weekends with her. Finally gave up on trying to get a kickdown linkage to work with the four barrel and we are going with one of those lokar cables for the kickdown instead. Putting that on this weekend.
The truck has a fresh 400 Big Block in it it should be able to eat Mopar Sam and 318svalvetosser trucks it was used to pull anhydrous wagons in its earlier life.

Glad to hear your feeling better.

One thing leads to another... Moving the pushrod holes made lots of extra work, but, I am enjoying it! Ijust need more time to work on it.

I finally found time to mill the rocker stands for my W2 rocker blocks. This will mean some pushrod hole grinding I am sure.

I still need to plug and move the 4 intake bolt holes for the W2 intake.

I was wanting to get the pushrods made this week, I may start on that in the morning. Once they are done I can wash the block and start getting the short block together...

318 has zero chance...

318 has zero chance...

Well, he has posted time slips, and all I have posted is pictures. 2021 is almost gone..

I do hope the time that I put into these heads will be worth it. Time will tell, but, honestly I like doing this kind of stuff. So, I guess it is worth it for that alone. It is just a truck motor after all.

318 is already ahead, his runs and a 440 could be in the making.
Let's see what a long Midwest winter brings in the spring.

At the rate I'm going it may be spring before mine runs. I AM trying though. I really want to drive the old yeller truck again.

I hate winter, just hate it.

I should have just "borrowed" one of my son's 360s.

The last test and tune at Dragway 42 in west salem ohio was last night.

Right now Mrs. 318willrun and myself are in a bad battle with Covid. Ugly.
DT has run a best of 8.27 so far, but right now DT ET's is the last thing on our mind

Prayers to you and yours...

It’s a virus, the world will never get rid of it because it mutates quicker than you can get the cure out. Never mind the crap there pumping out now!

2021 is almost gone...the strips are closed. 318WR wins this round.

How about 2022????

I'll be final washing my block by the end of this week. Heads are ready to assemble, and I got the pushrods made up. It should not take long to get this together. I already file fit the rings and mocked up/ checked clearances a while back.

I still need to go through the 727 and make header adapters. I'm going to use 1 3/4" W2 truck headers on the procomp heads.

Spring is coming!

It was a successful year for both trucks. We both got a bunch done to each project and that is what this was really about. Our laughs on the phone, and PM's was about as much as we would get from any race.
:thumbsup: Two thumbs up to you, Mopar Sam !!
