Just don't park her in front of a mirror. When she sees what she's become, she might throw-up a lil too; and who knows what that will look like.....
Sometimes, to this day, I miss my first car; a 57 Belaire 4dr hardtop hi-school, cruising machine. That was 51 years ago.....

I'd turn that thing into a winter beater and flog it all day long, but no way I'd pony up more than $15k for it.
Heck, I'd drive it just to see how many people scoffed at it, and how many thought it was an actual '55!

Back bout 65 a kid moved to our small Ga town with a 55 Ceavy hotrod, wow did I want that so bad. Hot 327 4 speed, roll and tuck, glass tilt front end. I had never seen a HS kid have such!!!
Now such would cost me $35000! Noway! Besides, anyway, I ain't smart enough to build a Chevy!!!
When I was 15 my dad tried out a 55 but bought a 59 off a Black man. Had it long enough for me to take it out on night to see what top end was. About 110-115 I recall. Mom made him sell it next day. Mom was old Southern prejidice.
I could have bought a complete and decent 55 project back in Mo.one day for $4000. But that was a good 10years ago. I bet everyone has a tri five story!!!!

The "55 Chevy" is in Alaska according to the Craigslist ad, the "Thunderturd" is in Oregon.
There must be something mighty strange in that northern water.

I've seen a Thunderbird of that vintage transformed into a 50 Ford "shoebox", it was no more appealing or impressive than the first picture in this thread.
