Hi does anyone make/offer rear quarter panels for a 72 and up duster in fiberglass? Strange request I know, but I'm looking at buying an older built drag car and it apparently has fiberglass on the rear quarters. Magnet wouldn't stick and back side I can see the resin. So I'm guessing someone along the line made them. Car was built in the late 80s if that helps any. Thanks

Thanks for recommendation. I called them and they no longer make the fiberglass rear quarter panels. Any other companies u know of?

What's wrong with ones on the car? Crashed? Broken? Ragged?

Owner that I am looking to buy it off of cut the wheel well areas to fit bigger slicks under the car. Back in the day that was common but I'd like to fix that. Problem is it's fiberglass so I can't just order the metal panels from AMD.

I remember back in the 70s, seeing some drag race cars with the fabricated aluminum wheel tubs bonded on the inside of the quarter panels with fiberglass. I'm wondering if that's what you're seeing.

Is the body all fiberglass? If it isn't, where does it transition to metal? Do you have any pictures?

Magnets wouldn't stick to the sides of my raggedy metal 73 Dart Sport I'm guessing because of all the bondo. Obviously, it was stripped to bare metal and the sides were coated with bondo in an attempt to block sand it straight before painting it. All of that was a huge fail and a mess for me to try and correct.

Sorry but I just keep thinking of all sorts of things pertaining to this drag car. Does the car have fabricated wheel tubs or stock looking wheel tubs? If stock and the quarter panel openings were enlarged, the wheel tubs would have been cut and need repair if you plan on putting it back like original. Next, was the wheel opening stretched as in cut, moved, and welded back in, or was it just cut away completely? What are your plans for the car?

Sadly that's the only place I recall still having any listed. May just have a bunch of filler up top from trying to blend those quarters on, could possibly be able to use AMD ones. Inspection camera or similar would be handy to check out the back side of the quarter.

@tinman2 Imagine the mad panels but in fiberglass. The rear quarters on the car are installed right below the roof line. No metal it's easy to tell from all the resin on the inside of the quarter panel. I'll see if I can get pics loaded might pass on the car if I have to completely redo the quarters and then paint.

Waaay back in the 80's, when the Mopar aftermarket was a fraction of the size it was today, Year One had fiberglass quarters for Mopars. I helped a friend put a set on a Dart Sport. It was about the only thing you could get aside from patch panels.
