The preliminaries are over and MLBs "second season" starts tonight with the start of the Wild Card games.
10 teams, 5 in each league, to fight it out.
Who's your pick to be the first team to 11 wins in the "second season" and be crowned World Series Champ?

My heart's been with the "Boys in Blue" since they moved to LA in 1958.
GO BLUE!

I threw Red Sox into the poll but that's a Homer pick.

Rays may do better than expected if the NL West beat themselves up getting to the pennant

Techincally, four of those teams would have to win 12 games. If I were to guess, I'd bet they get rid of the one game wildcard play-in game in the off season. That's just a joke IMO.

I'm a Dodger fan myself, but the Cards are on a tear. I wouldn't be surprised to see them do well. The Giants just find ways to win with their scrubs, so they're scary too. I'd love to see a Dodgers-Astros WS. I have visions of target practice for the Dodgers pitchers in that one.

No baseball fans here?
Y'all missed a GREAT game yesterday if you didn't watch the Dodgers/Cardinals Wild Card game.

I didn't miss one pitch. It was a great game for sure. I was getting nervous towards the end though with how quickly Roberts was emptying the bench. It paid off though. I'm really happy for CT. He's a good dude and hopefully that huge homer gets him where he was in the first half of the season.

I goofed
I thought it was a "pick 2" one from each league.
I hit white Sox 1st but the poll only took the NL team I picked. Been a Sox fan since I was about 8, I'm 54 now. Just glad it isn't the Cubs have always hated them

Haven't watched baseball since the players started kneeling last season. It's been a little painful this season with the Giants doing so well, but I'm still boycotting...

The Dodgers are loaded so I picked them. But I could see the Astros seeking vengeance after their recent cheating scandal.

Farewell Tampa Bay

I'm a Sox-Homer but did not expect advancing to the ALCS. If the Division Series was 7 games I don't know that they would have taken it.

There are no bad teams at this point

Playoffs have been great. Some of the best ball I've watched lately.
Glad the Dodgers are out....NL version of the Yankmees. Not a Dave Robert's fan either...some weird decisions. Glad to see Atlanta knock them out. Alex Anthopolous their General Mngr is a very smart guy(former Blue Jay GM).
Houston the bunch of cheaters deserve squat. Always liked Dusty, remember watching him playing when I was a kid, but I'm rooting against the cheaters.
Game 1 Atlanta! Go Braves!

What a gamer to go another inning with the fracture.

7 games is a long time though.

Yeah, I hope I'm wrong, but I just think their bullpen is going to be destroyed in a 7 game series. They'll have two bullpen games for sure now. They better hope Fried and Anderson can go a bunch of innings in their 4 starts. I sure hope they can pull it out.

I've noted the trend through all the playoffs of 5 or 7 games has been whether the starter can survive the first 3 innings.

Anyone else notice this is 2nd year on a row they have mediocre TV announcers?? WTF?? TONS to choose from and you got these grade school level announcers?

Yep for whatever reason, Darling annoys the **** outta me also.
Listening on radio has better announcers....
Joe Buck, Dan Shulman, John Shmoltz, Harold Reyolds, Buck Martinez.....a TON to choose from.
I agree, but I'd still take these guys over Ron Darling and the other bonehead on TBS.
