Crazy thing happened yesterday in Toronto. A small Piper airplane took off from a small airport and had just had a total inspection. Took off and got to 2000 feet and the guy switched tanks to keep it balanced. The motor started to fail and the guy had to land as he wouldn't make it back to the airport. So he landed it on the 407 Toll Highway and did a fabulous job said the Cop a pilot himself.
Good job it was the Toll Road because it wasn't busy.
They called in a float and loaded the plane on the float sideways and had a police escort of course. Something you don't see everyday. I'm sure the mechanic that passed the plane's inspection will be asked a few questions lol
