A word about Scammers

Just a follow up to this post. I blame myself for not paying attention and being more vigilant in my cautiousness, but a couple of months ago I posted in the parts wanted section that I was looking for a steering wheel for a 66 Barracuda. A member of FABO (ALFMopar - no longer a member) sent me a reply saying that his friend may have one and sent me his email address (garynweber@gmail.com). A few exchanged emails later, with photos of said steering wheel, and we agreed on a price. I offered to Paypal him the money but instead he insisted on using Zelle, which is a bank transfer system. So, like an idiot, I transferred the entire amount to him without verifying anything with him. I didn't get his address. I didn't get him to send a photo ID. Nothing. I just wanted to put this out there to help others not make the same mistake I did. Always be cautious and ensure you're dealing with someone that you've verified.
