Lunati Cam - Advance ground in ?

-
As stated...... always degree the cam.

I start with the timing set at dot to dot....... see where it’s at........ adjust as req’d.

One more time......

Dot to dot is not straight up....it is only dot-to dot. It is not necessarily straight up or advanced or retarded.....it is simply dot-to-dot.

Straight up is 110 degree ICL on a 110 degree LSA.

6 degrees advanced is 104 ICL on a 110 lobe separation. It may work out that way dot-to-dot and it may very well not. It is like most everyone has said, that is why you time/degree your camshaft.

You are speaking to a brick wall sir. I commend you for doing so.

Gettin a little worked up their RRR lol, he said he was going to degree it he just didn't know if the cam had the advance ground in and if he should start dot to dot, or in bad terminology "straight up".

Worked up? Over somebody else's junk? Not hardly. I never saw where he said he was going to degree it......and I really don't care at this point. My car runs like Moody's goose.

Post #11, just given you a ribbing, it was a pile on even without you lol.

If he is going to degree the cam in, he will have all the answers to his questions ! He has been told repeatedly on how to do this ! And it doesn’t matter if you call it straight up, straight back or peanut butter ! Call it what you want ! And it doesn’t matter where you put your timing set !! If you degree the cam in you still will have to move it most likely to get the ICL to 104 ! So all of it really doesn’t matter ! Degree the cam in and make your adjustment to get the desired ICL 104 ! It’s that simple

Dude calm down, he didn't ask how to degree the cam, he asked a simple question of where to install the cam for a starting point related to if it has the advance ground in, he also stated he was going to degree the cam, good lord.

Yep and if he has to move it using the multi key crank sprocket, it will likely be close enough, not exact.

I just want to know what he's building with that cam, It's an ultradyne NF62 :D

Rmoore isn't yelling! He just doesn't know about PERIODS! This kind I mean, (.) !!!!!
That's not a period. That's one boob. They come in pairs.

(.) (.)

I like big ones.

I've had a solid roller cam from their Voodoo series since March. I'm done with them. Poor communication, and no updates on my order. I'm looking for a big solid roller cam and lifters. Not to hijack the thread, but looking for advice from the members on this site.

talk to member PRH on here. He is a comp cam dealer and very sharp on getting you the right cam.
Has helped me on several occasions. Very good knowledge

Late to the party here, but the way I read this..... he wants to know if he can get by with a cheap non-multi keyway timing set, and still get his cam in advanced.

No one has any way of knowing, and has given good advice , degree it. If it were me, I would automatically buy the multi keyway set, especially with a big cam, and I consider that lunati to be a pretty big cam.
