I've been searching the web for replacement SS valves. 2.02/1.60. Length seems to be longer on them all, with Manley being the closest to a stock length valve. I've considered going to an 11/32 stem chevy valve because I need guides, but the length I've found on the .100 longer chevy valve is .050 intake and .075 exhaust longer than the stock mopar valve. Am I over thinking this? It's going in a pump gas mild 340, hydraulic .530 lift cam, with adjustable rockers. Spring seats have already been cut. I need valves that's why I'm looking.

Enter “Chrysler Small Block Valves” in the search box. Open up a Racers account and you get pretty decent discount pricing. They seem to have a good bit in stock. I use them, get most the next day. Worth a shot:thumbsup:

It is a very common thing to use the chevy +.100 valves in the sb Mopar.

If you really want Mopar valves, try SI Valves.
They are a good valve at a good price. They make them for about any application.

Home of SI Valves

Edit, they also make the magnum valves that Hughes engines sells, and you can get them cheaper direct from them.

I don't specifically want the mopar valves i was concerned about the chevy valves being longer by .050-.075. I'll Ck SI. Thanks!

SI would not sell directly to me. I called them and they told me to go through a dealer. Ended up ordering from Hughes. This was late 2019 I think.

Summit Racing, Get GM valves the reason is the keepers for mopar valves are hard to find. Probably because the top ring always breaks off due to the keeper groove area on the top ring being thin. Mopar valves are a thing of the past.

I never thought of that, I have a small shop, but come to think of it, a customer was able to get pontiac valves and guides direct from them. This was in 2020.

The Manley 11781 & 11782 are the correct length, as are the Ferrea F6244 & F6249.
I have used them numerous times.
They have single lock grooves.

5.01” long SBC valves work as well, but the tip heights will end up .030-.040 higher.

I think that's what I ended up with. The machine shop had to shim the heck out of the springs to get them into spec and I had to jack up the rocker shafts to get them where they needed to be. "If I ever take it apart I'll straighten it out" I'm sure you have heard that before. LOL

You mean the chevy valves Mike?

Thanks PRH, I'll take a look. Ferrea is just a few miles from me

I saw these, good price but the length is about .050-.075 longer than stock. That seems like a lot. Maybe I'm wrong, lol!
There are more knowledgeable people here that could advise on your best course of action. Iron heads, unknown cam specs, springs etc. If it were me I would look at longer valves, springs to suit, opens doors to a little higher lift cams without possibly having to cut the spring seats, shim the rocker shafts and you're done. I guess:)

Appreciate your input. I realize now I left that info out. I'll add

I have 5.165 length valves in my W-2 heads because the longer valves accomodate the higher lift cams I have... it can be a real challenge to understand what you need when you consider springs, valve lift, shims, etc.

Hey fellas,
Would these valves be for the ecno or race W2 head?
If not, which ones? Thanks in advance.

Which version of the enco do you have? There is a standard length valve and a long valve version.

Those W2 valves are for the short valve econo heads. The W2 race head and the long valve Econo head typically use valves that are ~ 5.28” long.

1 of each. An older set of Econo’s and a set of the last run race heads.
