I am sitting here watching All Girls Garage gals wrenching on an RX7. As I’m sitting here a question just popped into my head as the little tattoo,d gal with dreadlocks was working.

How the hell does she was her hair?
 
My understanding is that when you have dreads, you don't wash the hair like normal, or at all. But, I'm a 43 year old, balding white guy, so who knows.
 
I worked with a guy with dreads. When it rained, his hair smelled like nasty wet dog mixed with bad BO.
 
Get close enough and take a whiff, they will either stink or have so much perfume on them you'll pass out.

I'm sure she has a professional take care of it and there are required ways to wash them. So, like all other myths yada yada yada............................

Whatever you say. I've worked side by side with people who wore dreads. They're nasty.
 
Man if I had hair I sure as hell wouldn't do that to it. That nasty! 65'
 
If smell was the only problem well that wouldn't be horrible but sometimes there's critters in there.:eek:
 
My wife has long hair and only washes it 1 per week . Takes a long time !
I think cornrows are pretty cool and look great on the right person.
I suppose if you worked in a kitchen or other job that has a lot of fumes and odors wafting around they would start to stink .

BTW...Which one of you is the Grand Wizard ? Lol
 
I've been called a hell of a lot worse than a friggin wizard. Try again.
My wife has long straight hair, gets hot and humid here..she gets sweat, dust, dirt, various manure in her hair...we aren't sitting in an office .. she never stinks but washes it as needed.
That girl on All Girl Garage.. she is just a little bit.. different!! To say the least.:BangHead::steering::poke::thankyou:
 
Never seen the show. The only 2 I can stand to watch are Engine Masters and Roadkill.

Cornrows can be very hot! that's a long way from nappy dreads that are smashed together and Tangled in a nappy mess
