For sure, and even performance upgrades are felt in the seat of the pants. I would keep the patina where you can as far as the body, but handling, interior etc would be my focus..
Defiantly want performance up grades but the leaving the car exterior patina is not me. I'm a body man and enjoy a nice shinny car.
 
One of my boy's works on windmill towers in maintenance and sometimes has to climb inside the blades to work on them.
Not something I would do.
Watched a show with guys working on them a while back. You figure they are intentionally put in the windiest locations and way the hell up there. Not a job I would want...:realcrazy:
