Well guys my 47 year streak may continue

Just to make sure it's not constipation you could have him run the scope of the other side.

ohhhh I’m not a virgin there either. I’ve had every orfice probed, prodded, and everything else one could do to a persons body during my lifetime.

Well guys you aren’t going to believe this but last night while working on the duster I had to make several trips behind the shop to piss and something didn’t feel just right. I watched election returns till 12:30am and went to bed. Up at 6:30am and burning piss every 20 minutes. I called my specialist and it was to late to make the office 7 miles from my house but they could see me in Monroville a 75 mile round trip at 4pm. He looked at me and said your kidding. I said nope the infection is back. A urine test proved me right. Antibiotics for 7 days and see him next Friday. Knowing my day was screwed I ran down to the shop and checked my valves, finished the carb and radiator lines and installed the W2 header adapters. I got everything I wanted to do before seeing my doctor. Waiting at the pharmacy for my prescription now. If I would have waited till Friday my racing plans would have been screwed. If the infection isn’t gone next week a scope goes up you know what to see what is going on.

All kidding aside...I sure hope the meds kick in and resolve it for you. That's a terrible health issue - not telling you anything you don't know. We all want to see you get to hit the track yet!

Well guys some really good surprising news. I had a hard time getting going today and even after I hit the shop I was dragging azz. Most of you know my son hasn’t raced his car in over three years but has had some success driving his friends cars. I asked him if he was going to his girlfriends house in Ohio and he said no. I told him I may go racing Saturday and he was welcome to go. He lives with me and texted me that he was going to lay down for an hour and to make a list what needed done. That got me moving so I started on the top and when he came down put the headers and exhaust on. That’s a big help. I also installed my new belts so tomorrow plug wires, radiator water, and a few odds and ends and it’s ready to start. If all goes well I told him he can drive (I want one pass) and I can read the RacePak and do some tuning (new carb). I’ll charge my Sony recorder tomorrow if I remember.

Good deal!

The 14 year old and me are headin to Barona Saturday, see if I can get him kicked out of the car again! Added bonus, he likes swapping out the slicks!

She runs and no smoke this time. Matt and I hooked up the trailer so I gotta top off the fluids, set final timing, put the diaper, and I five minute wash then we can load here up. A few things I have stored in the trailer but that’s another 10 minutes.

Hold the damn presses

warmed it up several cycles and she’s smoking bad. Not as bad a before but bad. Ran it up to temp several times to see if possibly it was just oil trapped in the mufflers from before. Feels just like a good punch to the gut. We put it back in the shop and I may pull a plug later to see if I can see any oil. Man this sucks.

PB. I have a question.

Shouldn't you have some holes in the front engine plate to allow air to pass thru?

Got me buddy it’s gone 138mph with a little small block. And never a cooling issue with pump gas or alcohol
.
I would think that front motor plate being solid like that would be like the front end of a bread truck. Put some holes in it trim it out make it as open as possible and maybe you'll go a 140 miles an hour.

One of my planned one of these days updates is to switch it over to one of Andy’s engine plates. I’ve had it for so long I can’t remember if it has holes in it or not. The one I got from him for my heads up car does.

Well Matt and I made it to Keystone for some test n tuning and the 2021 jinx continue. Feeling like crap the last few day and pissing my pants twice during that period we got it here nice and early to do our race day prep. Matt took it for a drive to build up some heat and there’s no second gear. I built this transmission last year and made two low 6 second passes with it and everything was great. Two friends recommended tightening the band up 1/2 turn but that did nothing. Both said the sealing rings or seal in the front drum lost its seal. Done for the day. F me. I did buy a nice 275.00 engine blanket for my heads up car

You bought your Garage Art Car a $275 transmission blanket? You need better drugs. Lol

Hell that’s nothing. I bought a RacePak and 5000.00 worth of nitrous stuff for it. Ohhh and a 1400.00 APD carb but I did some horse trading for that. Lol.

Look at the bright side; you made it to the track and found an issue needing attention, and you have plenty of time before your next race to fix it and make sure it’s ready. I call that a win, and declare your streak intact.
