I bought a 70 Dart slant 6, 11 yrs ago, that i drove from Reno for $3500. It had fresh paint, and was all original.. In the past few years I have seen very Similar Darts go for
$7000-8500. So i would say that in the past 10 years prices have doubled, and then some

Bob selling old Mopars in Ok. is like selling them in Mo. and Ar. and Tx. Ya gotta find an East Coast rust belt $$$$$$ buyer!!!! Good luck!

Mecum in KC is early December. There are rarely any 67-69 cudas there. I saw an original 69 340 formula s go for $27 a few years back, not nearly as nice as yours. You could give that a shot, who knows if it would sell there. Knowing the good work you do, I would think you could get $30-40 with a little time.

Your vehicle is custom with a cage and tends to have more specific buyers. It may take longer time on market to find a buyer.

these type cars seem to have a bigger gap between private sales versus classic dealer or auction house actual sales.

IF the red fender stripe is a sticker, remove it. Personally I don’t mind it, but you want to keep things as generic as possible.

The blue and black is an attractive combo.

As an East Coast rust belt dweller... pricing on everything is high... deals are had with /6 or 4-door vehicles. A tastefully done early Dart (63 -65) is around 14k. Driver 65-66 Barracuda 15-20k

Harder to price a resto-mod/drag strip build.

Could be double a #2 stock build price, could be half.

I'm sure you have specs and receipts for the drive train.

These old Mopars have always come and gone since mid 80's. I sold my last Duster about 3-4 year back, a 71 slant 3 on floor. PO had done the back seat to new. Bought it here in Tx complete for $1500 and got it running, did some brake work, replaced some floor and trunk floor, and fixed some dings and had it close to seal and topcoat. I enjoyed it for a year or so and sold it for $3500. TWO guys came to look and the one that bought it agreed it was the best Duster for the $ that was advertised anywhere. No one was beating my doors down to come look or buy. If I had it today I would not even offer it for sale,
A comparable Duster project for what I bought it for just is not out there. So you say, the market is up, and I agree, but the decent Duster projects must all be somewhere else!! Overpriced POS junk. And funny thng is I see alot of these overpriced wonders sell, for how many $$...... dunno!!!:realcrazy::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::welcome:

If you want to really sell it first step is clean it up and I mean spend some time on it. Take your pictures with decent background. A clean pictures promotes a sale.

It's custom but having never seen the car I am sure it is nice. It's going to take time. If you go through a Reseller it ain't gonna feel good. IMO when you have a mod car like this the Seller needs to be the salesman. And it starts right at FABO. Then hit all the FB sites you can. Craigslist can find a blind squirrel these days also.

You won't find out what the market will bear in the first week and if you sell it don't be afraid to put good number on it. You can always come down.

There is a relative to it not far from me. Not 80K on the clock and it looks like one I saw years ago with just about that number on the Odometer. Stupid clean and well taken care of. 3K buys it. I am not a moredoor guy but if someone is and if that's the car I saw years ago it's a great deal....

You cant find a decent 67-70 prefect car for under 3500 anymore and that's a roller!

Car 3500
Motor 3500-8k
Trans 1200-2200
Rear end 1500
The good brakes 300-800
Paint-2000-7k
Interior...700-1800
+/- some of those options
It ads up. I wouldn't even entertain bargaining for less than 8-12k for my own .

What a guy spends $$$$$ on an old car and what someone will pay for it... usually may not be the same.

Someone an give a person FREE a project that needs everything..... rebuild it to great... and unless it is the right model and engine.... most peeps will have more in it than it will sell for. And they did all the work!!
Maybe I run with the wrong crowd! lol
