The yellow square appears to be the factory welded splice. Chrysler did it. It's actually a pretty robust connection, as long as the factory tape stays on it. Of course, if it comes off, since it's a power connection, if it finds ground, it can cause some pretty big problems. As for all the butt connectors, rest assured, that's not factory. lol
