Not that I know of. I've only cut open ?5 or 6? or maybe 8 over my lifetime, and there was "nothin" just welded. On a side note I found my first FAILED welded splice in about 71-72 on a friend's 69 RR when stationed at NAS Miramar. He thought I was never going to get his car together.. I had the cluster out and wire strung out of the hole. I had done a lot of voltage checks and "knew" that's where it had to be. he was amazed and I was flabbergasted LOLOL
