Positive crankcase ventilation

There is a low dollar option for us but either the adjustable or non adjustable setups should have an oil catch between the pcv and the carb

Why? you ask...the oil vapor dilutes the mixture and causes detonation that cannot be heard at high rpm but shows on the plugs if one is paying attention. The oil catch can be something fancy from the aftermarket [ i like the ford mustang based products] but for the tight wallet - use a see thru fuel filter. Actually one car I work on has an adjustable pcv and the fuel filter as the owner's priorities are a little skewed at times. Like p-poor seat belts in a fast car and a broken front seat spring or 2. If you have power brakes there is gm based filter and check valve you should have installed between the engine and the booster. As for the seat belts; 3 inch seat belts with the conventional release like 1970 are less than $50.00 ea - not expensive but smart - see the interweb.

Now I suppose i have to disclose the secret pcv valve part number that was found to work very well with a real catch can.
4343581.
I have read that Fram FV 191 is a good replacement as well but i have no experience with that part
