After much thought, i have Decided to start building a 400 to 500 stroker. The biggest issue other than an exhaust, is motor mounts on a /6 k frame. I know Schumackers arent available, and that I will have to fabricate/cobble them together.
Ideas?
Rusty Rat Rod said big Block spool mounts with a 318 truck bracket. Or I could use elephant ears.

You can get a '73-76 small block k-member and build a Direct Connection k-member OR you can get some big block biscuit mount brackets and build your own. Everything locates from the transmission crossmember.

Before you buy ANY aftermarket parts like that, do a search on complaints about each company, especially those two...

Here again, it boils down to how much you want to spend and whether the part is worth it. In my opinion (and the opinion of many) those aftermarket parts are just not necessary for a well-built big block A-body.

I bought Schumacher mounts for a big block to smallblock k member, intending to put an rb 511 in my 67 barracuda. I think direction has changed toward a 408.
I have elephant ears in my 62, even though I have a correct big block k member in it, one piece motor plate in my big block opel, and a Hurst front mount and a mid plate in my Cortina.
I would have no problem doing elephant ears again, but I would use the one piece ones Andy F sells.
Elephant ears help a lot with header clearance and install.

Yessir! Caint change that, at least , not with extremely expensive excessive fab work.. and I know that is not the goal here

If you wanna fab them I'll send you pictures & measurements how to build them.
Conversion mounts that is. I'm going to run a plate.

For a fee lol
