Second Generation Barracuda Year to Year Differences

Ever wonder why there are so few 69s compared to 68? I heard or read somewhere that about half way through the 69 model year, pictures of the 70 Barracuda appeared and 69 sales went FLAT. May not be true, but that is what I heard.

Sales may have gone flat but I believe there were more 69s built than 68s by 20,000 units.
