Pop up ads

No problem with an ad blocker.
Beat me to it. There should be some good ad or pop up blocker apps out there. I use Avast Mobile Security and run Malwarebytes occasionally so I don't have many issues.

Never had these before and they are only here. Not on b-bodies or any other search I do in my browser, which is safari. I cleared history and cookies. They are still here and only here.

Yes that was a problem on my android phone using google Chrome web browser.

Could not get them to go away, gold Membership besides.

__________

Switched over to Firefox browser on my phone, end of problem now this morning. Firefox is way more secure and far less tracking of what you are doing.

Thanks to Joey too for taking care of it for everyone else.

Nice! Heard duck duck go was cool too. So how is that accomplished? Download a different server? The Androids seem to have to use xiGoogle

Think you have to go to Google Play Store sign in and then get the Firefox app there. Then you can install It.

Just go to duckduckgo.com
Upper right Corner of phone 3 dots, and add to your home screen.

Like pictured here upper right corner.

Dig it. So just keep the factory crap on here? And use the other whenever I want to use it?

Duckduckgo is supposed to be a non tracking search engine. Works like google but does not track.

If you choose to put on Firefox browser there are some settings you can set with it to your liking and tighten up your security too.

Like don't remember passwords, don't remember credit cards, can turn off cookies, then if you can find it turn off Java too, don't need that with firefox it's another security risk having it on there. (need to have it on with Chrome though or it won't work, imagine that)

Yessir! Dig your Perseverance on your work! I ain't got nothing to hide ( gotta love Proper English), it's the point. I read an article not long ago, informative about how Fb uses 2 ( at least) gooegal, bout the same. I just don't want to support big tech. I don't wanna see adds, I don't wanna buy anything they have to sell. If I need a part, or advice on the correct part to buy, i can research it here. I can ask my favorite grumpy old-school Mechanics here, for tech,, but because, I look at the price of lumber, don't mean I wanna be bombarded w/ bs. And then there IS A FACT, that you can simply say, a few words, with the phone laying across the room, and when you pick it up? Low and Behold, odd, I must say, and many have noticed this

Yeah I go in and shut down all of the Permissions on the phone, only essentials.

Big Tech wants to track people's buying habbits then send you ads for more of the same. That's one reason I shut the cookies off too.

Understand that. Now, sometimes,. I'll go to a site, and I can't read further, unless I enable cookies.. what gives?

Some sites don't allow you to continue until you enable your cookies, they can kind of identify you that way and track how many times you visit. And ultimately try and sell you something.

There are settings how many cookies You want to let in and what type.

Like the 3rd party cookies you can definitely keep out.
