And this one says he was born January 1, 1967.

David Freiburger

Yeah, I'm 55 and I was pretty sure he about my age.

I found one site that says he is pretty closed mouth about his personal stuff, for example only once mentioning his wife or that he is married. Wouldn't be surprised if he was just as private about his age and birthday.

I know I don't like my birthday online anywhere so I use different ones when I am asked for mine. I bet he has done the same and one date he used was 8/21/1946 and it got picked up and spread all over the internet.

He isn't 75. No way.

He's said he had the block 38 years. He's also said he bought the car it came in in his teens. So, 48 to 56 by his own words, probably closer to the latter.

Sticks in my head he bought the Bee when he was 15?? That would put him at 53.

Wait a minute . We are talking about Freiburger ? Not Dolsich ... no way he is 75

I agree. New teeth baby!
And good for him!

I think Frieberger got divorced in the last few years. They mentioned in one episode he had the week off to spend with his kid .

I must have missed some episodes somewhere. What is the current engine and build configuration? I thought they had a 440, then swapped it for a 383; but no ideas what they did build wise, to the engine. I saw the episode where it looked like they finished it, then did burnouts all the way down the road. Does anyone know the current engine details?

Wasn’t looking for the info but had Roadkill Garage running in the background while I worked on a harness for my Dakota SMPI 5.9 swap. Episode 62 when they put the car back together Steve covered the build.

383 bored 0.065 over, stroker crank from 440Source, ported Edelbrock RPM heads, single plane Victor intake, custom Comp FT cam with 241/247 @ 0.050 with .575 lift and 1.6 rockers. Not sure on compression.

I do believe the slugs are at zero deck height. Now to what exact Edelbrock head he has on top…….
Not sure about the gaskets ether.

But Steve does like to run a lot of compression if he can.

Why they didn't run a 400 at a stroked 472 is beyond me. I just happen to have a sonic checked one.....
