I've got one of these types of distributors I posted on here for $50 shipped. I just ran out and got you some measurements, the base measures a little over 5-1/4 and the widest part of the cap at the hold downs measures 5.9 inches wide. It's too tight to use comfortably in a 1981-1993 pickup but you should be fine.
