Shipping premonition or ???

Some of you have probably noticed that either Summit or maybe UPS is now using some outfit called LaserShip to ship products. I live about a 3-1/2 hour drive from the Tallmadge, OH, Summit store and have always received my orders within 24-36 hours from ordering. Their ordering and delivery process has been amazing!

Well, a couple months back, I started noticing that parts from Tallmadge were being shipped via LaserShip. And now what used to be 24-36 hours has turned into 2-4 days and one time even 5 days. I don't know if Summit is contracting LaserShip or if UPS is subcontracting them. I don't fault them for trying as we all know shipping companies are struggling with labor shortages just like everybody else. When I get a LaserShip package, it's usually been a 25-30 year old guy in a beat-up minivan needing a muffler that drives up the driveway and puts the package on the porch. I'm usually working from home so I go out and say thanks and retrieve the package.
So this morning I clicked on the text message I got from Summit to see where the latest order from this past Wednesday night was and I got this update through their website. (I doubt it will be arriving today as noted but that's ok as tomorrow will be just fine.) Note that Summit just uses the info they receive from their shippers to post and provide back to you. As the screenshot from my phone shows, I did this at 9:04am this morning, 11/14. But the update shows the package was received at 11:08am on 11/14 at the LaserShip facility! Hmmm....how can it be that at 9:04am you can state something was already received over 2 hours into the future????? Is there a DeLorean involved or ???
