68 barracuda spring re location kit to gas tank clearnce

Hi , i performed a search but could not find anything recent which may help me with my question. I am hoping some of you have had experience with this.

I purchased a relocation kit for my 68 fast back from USCT Motorsports. I find out i need to fix the kit inline with frame rail which means right rear spring will come close to gas tank leaving me no room for exhaust pipe.

As it will be be a street / track car i prefer to have full exhaust to keep cops happy.
I am not keen of dropping pipes at diff or behind rear tires.

How have you gotten around this ?
- modify tank?
- is there another relocation kit on market that will give me more clearance for exhaust system?
