I remember back when people would give 904s away to swap in 727s. That is why I ran 904s back then. Now somehow I have more 727s and I think only 1 904 core.
If I didn't already have a converter, Yeller would get a 904.
I must admit.... I was one 25-30 years ago that pulled 904's for 727's. Always the 2nd gear was gone in the 904. I literally couldn't give them away, so I hauled them to the junk yard. Now... of course... I wish I could turn back the clock !
