73 DUSTER UPDATE UPDATE
Got base & clear sprayed on it today. Not happy with it. Tried a new cheaper clear. The clear i use is the PPGs 4000 clear but its just getting way to expensive. The 4000 clear is $400 a gal. & a qt. of hardener is $100. Now it sprays awesome but dam its getting expensive. The clear i used today is the shop line brand. Ive heard nothing but good things about it. I just just couldnt get it to flow out & got more orange peel than i like. Not to mention when i use the 4000 clear i can spray the whole car plus jambs & get 3 coats on everything. Now with the shop line clear i used today i was a qt short of putting 3 coats on & didnt spray the hood. Hood is getting satin black. I like to spray with the temp at least 75 for the clear & with the 4000 clear you can really load it on. Ive done jobs where if it wasnt for the little dirt in it i wouldnt even have to wet sand & buff.
