Dodge to NASCAR?

Makes total sense.Win for Nascar and for Dodge.
Dodge has the best Amercican made, resurrected muscle cars on the road today.
I wish they would resurrect the Dart, then they would have 3.
(Excluding the Corvette, Chevy and Ford still only have 1 each).

Great to see the Dodge name potentially getting out there again in NASCAR....but pardon my asking but what, other than the vehicle wrap and $$, is going to ACTUALLY be Dodge?

It’s too bad NASCAR bowed down to the political gods. I used to watch it religiously, but don’t even bother anymore. Much more to life than that.

Yeah sure.... Remember all the whining Chevy & ford did when dodge & Plymouth were smoking everything. Just a matter of time

Like a mid size 3000 pound 650 hp dart ?

I'd be real surprised to see Dodge back in the game before introducing their next gen Charger and Challenger.

The Ford & Chevy camp will whine anyway because they want to try and rule the oval tracks.

Sounds like maybe there is a possibilty that Dodge may or may not be thinking about potentially getting close to considering re-enterring Nascar .
IF......
Lol

I'm sure I'm just 1 Mopar guy that would start watching NASCAR again if Dodge got back into it. As for now, I have NO interest.

What's up with the 550hp rule? It sounds like a glorified IROC series.

Yes,,,,550 hp rule.....same HP....all cars look alike except for decal on nose.....boring **** show going in circles....

Exactly

There's only about 3 engine builders...a couple of frame chassis providers and a rulebook a thousand pages long... same spoiler hight and fixed angle. 4 car teams that make single car startups almost impossible...

Race stages and "playoffs"

Yeah...was a fan for a couple of decades. No more

Don’t get me or this post wrong, I am a racing fan, but with very few exceptions, I am a follower of the lower buck open wheel midget, dirt and sprint car series. As well as the racing that I do, bracket and autocross.
I really believe that the high end stuff like nascar is really just for the multi millionaire owners and sponsors that watch the races from their catered luxury suites, hob job with other rich folks and get special access to drivers, garages, pits. We common folk are only along to be ridden, we don’t ride.
As far as car manufacturers being involved from a product point of view, I agree there is little carry over from the race car to the show room. And winning on Sunday absolutely does not sell on Mondy, so what is in it for them. The same way the rich car owners, sponsors get to hang out at the races, the CEO’s and Chief Financial Officers and the Board of Directors from the car manufacturers also get a seat at the race day party. When Toyota USA has their bosses from Japan over here for business meetings, what are they going to do for weekend entertainment. Take then to the stock car races that’s what. If Chrysler got back into raceing it will be for the entertainment value offered to the big wigs at Stellantis or what ever their name is. Just my two cents.

If there was some way any of "this" would translate into helping guys like us, I'd be excited.
