1971 Restored NOM 1971 Demon 340 4 Speed EV2
I recently acquired this Demon from the previous owner that purchased the car from a restoration shop back in 2008. Since then it has been stored in a climate controlled shop and driven less than 500 miles since!
I will post more pictures shortly but wanted to judge interest.
All numbers match: engine, transmission, door VIN tag, Dash VIN plate and fender tag.
Engine was rebuilt as part of the restoration.
Factory 4 speed, bench seat, manual steering and brakes.
Only parts not original from factory; Petronix ignition, Rochester 4 Bbl carb with electric choke. (Correct thermoquad is available from several carb resto shops) Instrument cluster has N85 installed tach that does not show on the fender tag.
All lights, gauges, wipers, horn, and reverse light all work. AM radio looks original but does not work.
Paint and striping is a 9 out of 10. No paint chips or dings, just some orange peel in several small spots that could use color sanding and buffing.
All chrome is in excellent shape, bumpers have been rechromed. New seat covers, dash pad and carpet.
Glass looks to be all original, in good condition.
Since I've owned the car I have done the following:
New alternator
Repainted valve covers with new gaskets
New pos battery cable and battery hold down
New battery
Brand new 215/70R14 tires
Correct mounting hardware for spare tire (new) and jack
Replaced bench seat hinge covers and repainted kick panels
New drivers side mirror
Had car professionally detailed (outside)
Ordered correct seat belts with date coded tags as seat belts were not reinstalled during the restoration. They will be included in the sale.
Car runs and drives very well. Demon is located in Godley Texas, 76044 (Outside Ft Worth)
45K, not interested in trades thanks. If this was an automatic I'd be keeping it!
