Hurst street super shifter

kinda what I expected. Straight, oversize rods, shifter sitting up higher, and shorter handle. They were intended for hard(bang) shifting, drag strip use. The idea behind the rods was less deflection.
So did they make a version to fit 66 a-body?

I know this is a real old thread but the answer is the Super Shifter was designed solely with fitment to the transmission and not to any particular car. It sits higher that the Competition PLUS and Hurst cautions you in the installation instructions that there is likely to be some interference with floors, humps or transmission mounts so be prepared to do a little custom tailoring.
I would like to hear from anyone who has experience using one on the street. Does it make life better or is it another annoying hindrance to joy, love and happiness?
