Just took delivery of my 72 dart & trying to figure out which aluminum heads are on the car. It's 440 based 500 stroker that was built in approx 2010. The heads have no branding on them, only the numbers 0802 - 0194. Any help is appreciated

Not 440source....Maybe pro-comp as they have the core plug ends? But I dont see the 3 other holes....

Yeah, pretty strange. The passenger head has the 3 holes for the alternator & both heads have the core plug. The driver side has a series of numbers on the front of the head & passenger has same numbers on the rear of the head

Those are speedmaster/pro comp Victor copies. (Freeze plug on the ends, and the thick flange on the intake face are the giveaways). See if it has $1000 offset rockers, or the $220 speedmaster version. I know which way I would bet.......
Edit: bigger valve, raised intake port version, not the standard version they also sell.

Good info, I'm going to pull the valve cover breather and see if I can get a picture. . .how would I be able to tell if these are the raised port version?

The huge ledge at the intake face on the heads means its raised port.
Should be 2.19 i take valves, 75cc heart shaped chambers. Its a copy of the edelbrock victor heads. There are alot of threads here on these heads. At some point the bowls shrunk alot and the heads required more work to get the flow number up.

Thanks. I'm going to start searching threads. Hopefully they are decent head for street / strip.

More suited for strip than street "usually". Hopefully the rest of the combo is matched well....a max-port 500" RB in a Dart's gonna be a good time!!

Judging by the unwelded m1 intake, I don't think those are maxwedge port heads, but I'll bet they still work well on 500 inches.

Hmm, still trying to figure out the engine combo. Kinda seems like a mixed bag

All the best ones are I think you'll be fine.
Thanks, I'm used to either having my engines built or having all the details with the car. This is the first car I ever bought that I have to do some homework on

Those heads come with std port openings....... which match up fine with the M1 intake manifold.
The combo may end up turning out to be a mixed bag type combo........ but the heads/intake are fine together.

Ok, thanks. It has what I think is a relatively mild cam especially foe a 500ci motor, 750db , & 2" tti headers. I'm trying to figure our the compression

Does the thick flange indicate a B intake manifold is used with these heads?

So how does it run? it should be a bit of a beast !
I actually just took delivery of the car a couple days ago and only got to go around the block. Drives nice, sounds killer with 3" FM 40's. No idea how quick the car is yet

IF......... you decide you’re looking to step up the program....... there’s a lot of room for a power improvement if that’s the cam in the motor.

As always....... it comes down to what you’re trying to do.
I'm looking for a pretty quick street car, I'd like to be comfortably in the 11s with good road manners. Right off the bat I was thinking about changing from the 3.23s to 4.10s & swapping to a more aggressive cam. The car is still very new to me so I can't speak for how quick it is now. . Still trying to figure out compression. Mahle pistons with 7.3 eagle rods, & a 750 double pumper. . I'm also thinking it could use more carb

there would be no problem getting that basic combo well into the 11’s.
Might run that already.

Gears, cam, carb....... would def show some improvement.

I'm still working on finding out what is actually in the motor , but would you agree with a 950 carb & 4.10s ?
