Hi finally found some time to post since it’s snowing haha, it was time to add some more fun to the 65 Barracuda. Car is a 4 speed, 3.55 gears, 25 1/2” tires , tri-ys headers ,2 1/2” exhaust . Motor is 360 la .040 over 0 deck ,stock promaxx heads 2.02 intakes /1.60 exhaust, stock rods arp bolts, kB 107 pistons, racer brown cam, stock crank rebalanced, stock heavy flywheel haha ,hi volume pump, windage tray ,rpm intake, carter carb old competition one, stock pan but modified, 273 adjustable rockers . Have about 200 hundred miles on it now pulls hard is a lot of fun yes smokes those tires off but that’s what I wanted lots torque and hp. I am at 3000’. Hope this helps anyone building an engine. Just have to add a couple videos once I learn. On the head gaskets went with .039 fel pros was going with mls gaskets .027 but had delivery problems to get in time of build would have given 11-1 ,but that’s ok it now gives me a little wiggle room when I descend in altitude and it’s not a race motor. Lol

The car is original except motor ,Rad ,brakes has 4 wheel discs, and rear end , have the original motor last one to rebuild or freshen up. The best thing I’m the second owner a nurse was original and it is radio delete ,aw the sound of the motor haha

Hi just one of those dummy tops on a sealed battery. And thanks for the compliments had the car from age 15 , and to think I sold my 1971 cuda 440 six pack ,4 speed car haha but times were different then. There is so much knowledge in this form it’s crazy ,just trying to help some one else. Having trouble to get videos on YouTube it use to simple , if I can send someone two videos to put on I would. I got it figured out hahaha.

That is a very nice street engine; an awful lot like mine.

What does yours make for pressure?
Wait lemmee guess; 160psi, on the nose, lol.
If the Wallace is accurate, you should be good down to sea-level.

I run a lil more cam, and 10.95 Scr, and am currently at 177psi.
The previous combo was 185, but she was up at 192 for a lil while.
192 is a stinking nice number; torque up the wazoo.

Excellent build for your altitude; good job.
11/1 mightabin nip-and-tuck down at sea-level.

Thanks AJ and thanks for the help with the build of the motor for some advice . Haha I know at 900 ft where you are it has a VP of 160 and comp 190.Forgot one thing the rockers have been adjusted to 1.6 to 1 I’m running. G

Nice build and a nice cam to go along with it.
You don’t need to go to 11-1 and a .028 clearance with what you have. The gain is minimal. BTDT and doing it now on a similar set up.
TF heads, 1.6 rockers for .573/.571 lift on a Hyd roller.
(.030 - 360 & full tti set up)

I60 V/P is killer.
If I helped you, part of the credit has to go to all the guys on FABO from whom I have learned mountains of things. I'm real glad it all worked out for you.
Now, sock-it-to Lethbridge! ,
But; keep your seat-belt buckled, and the painted parts straight.

I think this will work one more . RF 360 yes really nice cam when talking to Jim I wanted something torquey this what he recommended because of the stock flywheel and altitude plus others really happy with the whole car.

Got the pictures and videos up like we all like to watch yes!! To AJ cylinder pressure is at 175 . Yes wife has order two more tires for me. I thought Xmas present she said no it’s for the tires she is going to burn off I think I just lost the car hahaha.

that’s one of the two cams that Jim recommended for my sons 340 that will be running a set of ported Speedmaster heads. My son is having a house built so we never finalized plans but I think we are going one step hotter.
