My wife Theresa and I was out roaming the western part of the country for 9 weeks.Running along The old Rt 66 when we could find it ! Some of the towns play it to the tilt while others , must have just given it up or got bypassed by progress. So what pictures we took I'll post here with a small description of what and where ! As I run across more pics I just add them here ! If you can add any , Feel free.

We have some of the same pictures from our trip. It was a blast, and I'd like to do it again.

I have been to many of these places...went on 66 in May of 2019 and it was amazing....my wife and I started our trip in MN, went to Joplin MO and started 66 there. Went to CA, then up the costal HWY 1 to Washington, then back home to Minnesota. 5,300 in 12 days, such a fun time! This past March we went to Arkansas to visit Memike, on our way home we drove much of 66 in MO and IL, and seen many more cool things. Everyone needs to see Route 66.....

I made a huge mistake during the summer of 2020. I should have loaded up my laptop and teleworked my way across Route 66. My plan for a long while has been to jump into Route 66 south of Chicago, take it to LA, hope the Pacific coast highway all the way up to San Fran, jump US 50 all the way back home.

Cool pics! Thanks!!!
I can say I drove a piece of old 66 from just South of Miller, Mo. to edge of Springfield for about 10 years , usually in one of my old Dusters. In a few places I could actually see a reminant of the original concrete and what was left of a small bridge over a ditch. American history.
I had a bud that used to live right on ole 66.
I have seen some cool old places on Old 66 in Ok too!

This Harley shop was just off the highway , on the west side of Flagstaff in Bellemont AZ. Old RT 66.
We tried taking it west from here but was so rough and chopped up we had to turn back as we were on our bike.
There was a few groups of cars parked here and there taking photos.

If any of you guys have any of your own pics feel free to post em up with a description for the rest of us to see !

My trip from this Oct. I was with friends so didn't have time to do what I wanted to do, but saw some cool stuff as always on

'66.

I rode the old 66 back in 1963 when my dad loaded up the family in our 1955 Chev. wagon and headed west. Moved us to the Bay Area before he shipped to Viet Nam. Me and my brother in the back with the seat folded down. Didn’t make many stops along the way. When we had to pee he would just had us a coke bottle.
