Hello, everyone. I've been reading quietly for a while, now I've signed up :) I bought a 1970 Plymouth Duster this summer. The Duster has already been presented here, it had white stripes on the side before :) Best regards from cold Switzerland :)

Welcome. Nice looking car.
Bern is on of my favorite areas of Switzerland. I lived/ worked in Nuechatel for a year in the early 90’s and spent many weeks there for the next ten years. I can’t imagine what it would take to get a car like that licensed there. It seemed very restrictive thirty years ago.

Thank you for the greetings :)
@ gzig5, cool, the world is sometimes small. Did you work in the watch industry?:) Yes, it is still very strict to allow a car. We have the option to test a car that is 30 years old as a veteran, then you only have to check it every 6 years, but a new car is expected. With the normal exam you have to go again after 2 years, but this is also very strict, it is still exactly the same as in the 90s, if not even more strict. But the Duster is in excellent condition, it was no problem to get the veteran approval :)

I wish it was the watch industry but we made high speed seam welders that produce tin cans and larger steel cylinders for buckets and water heaters. Soudronic AG bought us out and I started spending more time near Zurich. I liked the Western and central lakes areas better than there. My first trip to Switzerland was in 1984 and I hope get back soon and see my friends and the bears in Bern. Good luck with your car.

Yes, the watch industry was doing badly at this time, but it was still one of the largest employers in western Switzerland.
The bears have had a new, large enclosure right on the river for a few years now, so you definitely have to come and see again :)
Best regards from Switzerland :)

Welcome!
Your Duster is very nice. I imagine it is quite unique in your town.
If you see any of my Schürch cousins, please tell them hello from the U.S.A. and Canada!

Now with 1.08 torsion bars, Hellwig Swaybar at the front, Hotchki's Leafspring and Billstein shocks all around, plus about 2.5 inches lower, the Duster drives brilliantly
The next upgrade is the engine
