Think about this

I agree in principle, but there is only so much you can do, and sometimes, there would have been nothing you could have done

My old engineering buddy died in his late sixties, due to complications of heart and diabetes. I had flown down to see him maybe a couple years before he died (he was in Austin, TX) and because of the "free" cellular long distance, we had been calling each other 1--2 times a week in the evening, and BS'ing about all the great stuff we had done.

Until one night there was just no answer. We kinda knew each other's habits, and there was no reason he either would not be home, or had just "run to the store," etc.

And HE HAD a casual female friend a couple houses away, down on the corner. So she kept track of him as well. He had died in his sleep and she found him I guess about a day --day and a half later
